Jalapenos vs. Tomatoes


We had our first garden casualty this week. I had to toss one of our tomatoes plants, due to root fungus.

But, we quickly replaced it with these jalapeno plants that my son begged me to get (he loves spicy foods!).

I only paid $.50 for all 4 plants! I love a bargain. 🙂

We’ll see how these go…

Rocky Mountain High {Colorado 2016}


It was really hard to want to come back to Kansas, after spending a few days in Colorado. Not only is it a beautiful place with amazing views from almost everywhere (at least where we were), but there was no humidity and almost no bugs! That’s my kind of place. A Green-ish Thumb


I am ecstatic about the progress of my little garden! With all of the rain that we have been getting lately, it seems like these plants have grown by leaps and bounds.

I love, love, love being able to just snip some fresh herbs from my porch! I have used everything so far. I made fresh mint water and have cooked with the basil, cilantro and parsley. Continue reading “A Green-ish Thumb”
