Summer Destinations {2016}

We will be traveling to Colorado in a couple of weeks and I am so ready to go! Not only will we be visiting my brother and his family that just relocated to CO from Jacksonville, but I will get to see all of my siblings (plus my mom and my niece – yay!).

We are almost never all in the same place at the same time. When a few of us get together, there’s always at least one person that can’t make it. Continue reading

Back to the Grind

I am happy to report that I now have a part time job. The best part – it is a work from home job!

A wonderful friend has hired me to help her with her crazy workload, so I am currently scheduling appointments from home.

I feel very blessed to not only be helping a friend, but to be helping myself as well. As much as I love being a stay at home mom, I also love getting paid! (Don’t we all?!)

So that’s what I’ve been up to lately. What’s up with you?

I’m just trying to make it through these teenage years with my kids! 🙂

My daughter, Raven, is turning 13 in August. If you ask me, she lives a great life. Loving parents, roof over her head, food on her plate, clothes on her back.

If you ask her, though, she is deprived. She didn’t have electronic devices of her own for the first 8 or so years of her life. And she doesn’t have a cell phone – which means that she is one of the very few kids in her grade that doesn’t have one. Continue reading

Oh, The Places We’ll Go!

I am a person who relies on lists. I have a list for home projects. And a list for daily tasks. And a list of books I want to read. And the lists go on and on…

So, I’m really not sure why it’s taken me so long to create this travel bucket list. It’s something that’s been floating around in my mind for quite some time now. My family is always daydreaming of the places that we would love to visit.
